I saw this tiny little flying insect in my garden this afternoon. Can anyone tell me what it is?
It moved constantly so I couldn’t really get a pic in focus with my iPhone. In the last pic, you can just barely see its wings.
I’ve never seen one of these before and was just fascinated with it so I hope somebody can clue me in!

looks like a dragon fly or something in that family

I thought so too, but couldn’t figure it out. Kloipy commented that it looks like a damsel fly. Never heard of them.

yeah I read that too after I ahd answered so i looked them up … they seem to be smaller than dragonflies and can fold their wings over their backs, which dragonflies can’t do … also they are smaller and weaker and have separated eyes
